How will NATool ship my international order?

We will ship international orders per customer instructions.

Does NATool offer tapping/cutting fluid?

Yes. We offer an excellent product called “Smart Cut”® which is available in
½ oz., 1 oz., 16 oz., 1 gal., 5 gal., and 55 gal. containers. Smart Cut® is an environmentally smart tapping and drilling fluid that will significantly extend tool life, while providing a superior finished cut. Does NATool have a trial tools program?

Yes. Details can be found in the General Information link of the Our Products section on this website.

Besides H.S.S., in what materials are taps available?

Our taps can be specified in high speed steel (HSS), solid carbide (limited sizes), ‘Carb-I-Sert’® carbide insert (limited sizes) and ‘HSSE’ which is a premium steel with particle metallurgy composition. Contact our Customer Service Dept. if desired material is not listed.

Do you sell carbide taps?

Yes. As mentioned above, North American Tool offers high performance solid carbide taps (size range: #0-80 through ½”-20; Metric: M3 X .5 through M12 X 1.75); and Carb-I-Sert® carbide inserts in a H.S.S. body, (3/8”-18 through 1-1/2”-8; Metric: M14, M16, M22 and M25). Can NATool design and manufacture taps from bar stock to my specifications?

Yes. We ‘specialize in specials’, and have tool designers on hand to offer design expertise or work from your blueprint specifications. We’ll design and manufacture top quality special taps that meet your exact requirements in as few as 7-10 days, depending on the specialty of design and quantity ordered.

Do you offer metric dimensioned taps?

Can I purchase thread gages or ring gages from NATool?

Yes, thread plug and ring gages, as well as cylindrical plug and ring gages are available in a variety of sizes, types and styles. For more information vist our product literature page.

Does NATool manufacture thread forming taps?

North American Tool’s Tru-Flo® thread forming taps have been an industry standard for years, and are available in a range of popular inch and metric sizes. For more information vist our product literature page.

Does NATool manufacture thread mills? And if so, is a thread milling CNC program available?

Yes, the company offers helical flute, solid carbide thread mills in popular inch and metric sizes. A CNC program for these thread mills is available for download (view Thread Mill Configurator link under Engineering Data section of this website), or the program can be sent on a CD.
