Barb has held a number of key positions at North American Tool since 1987. She is currently Manager of Tool Design and Customer Service. Previously, Barb was the company’s Purchasing Agent, and has completed several professional programs in the Industrial Purchasing field, having received a Certificate in Distribution Management-Inventory Management from Texas A&M University. During her tenure at North American Tool, Barb has worked as a machine operator, stockroom clerk, shipping department associate, data entry operator, and purchasing agent. She has the technical knowledge and experience to handle just about any situation she may face in the day-to-day operations of North American Tool, especially with customer services and tool design. Barb is a past President of AMTMA (American Measuring Tool Manufacturers Association) and WOTM (Women of Today’s Manufacturing).
Meet Our Team
With numerous years of finance and management experience, Brian is the Vice President of Finance and CFO for North American Tool Corporation. He began his professional career as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand, Rockford, IL in 1976 and was admitted as a partner in 1987. Between 1992 and 2001, Brian served as VP and CFO for North American Tool Corporation and as VP-Finance for a capital equipment manufacturer. In 2001, Brian became a partner with CPA firm, Millikin, Benning, Kleckler & Kobischka, LLC (MBK&K). In connection with the merger of MBK&K and Sikich LLP in 2008, Brian became a Sikich partner. Brian is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society and the Institute of Management Accountants. Brian attended Rock Valley College (AA) and received a BS in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
Curt joined North American Tool in 1988, and had been a Board member since June 1986. He was elected Vice President in April 1989; Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in April 1991; Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in April 1995; Executive Vice President in 1998; and was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of the company in April 2005. He has been involved in strategic planning in respect to lean manufacturing, streamlining of internal procedures, and organizational effectiveness. Curt has developed and implemented effective leadership training processes and human performance initiatives during his successful tenure at North American Tool.
Phil joined North American Tool in July 2015 as Director of Sales and Marketing. He has 34 years of extensive experience in cutting tool sales management and is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies. Phil’s prior experience was as General Manager of North American Operations of Wm. Beckett Plastics, a worldwide supplier of packaging to cutting tool manufacturers. He has a wealth of relevant experience with Precision Tool Co. (KEO Cutters, Richards Micro-Tool, Cutting Edge Technologies), Bassett Rotary Tool, Field Tool Supply Co., Cleveland Twist Drill and Briggs-Weaver, Inc. Phil has a BS degree in Public Affairs and an MBA in Business Management.
Jeff has over thirty-five years of experience in the aerospace and medical industries and is the Director of Manufacturing at North American Tool. He has a diverse manufacturing background that includes machining, production control, manufacturing engineering and information technologies related to CAD/CAM systems. Jeff has spent over half of his career directing operations of more than 200 employees achieving year-over-year improvements utilizing lean and six-sigma methodologies. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree from Rockford University in Management Studies; Lean training from the University of Tennessee, Six-Sigma Champions training, and Project Management from Young, Clark & Associates.
